How To Photograph A Car At Night Without Ruining It (Copy)

A working guide to light, reflection control and shutter discipline from our production crew.

Words by Samiul Karim

Cars are mirrors. Photographing one at night is really about deciding what it reflects.

Start by killing your ambient chaos. Position first, light second.

A single hard source moved across a long exposure will out-perform three static panels almost every time.

Shoot for the reflection, not the panel. If the reflection is clean, the car looks expensive.
